Rinoa Heartilly is a teenaged member of a resistance faction who falls in love with Squall Leonhart, the protagonist of Final Fantasy VIII. After she recruits Squall and his friends, she decides to stay with his group and fights alongside them to defeat the evil sorceress Ultimecia. Rinoa is a strong and determined character who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She is also kind and compassionate, and her love for Squall is one of the most touching aspects of Final Fantasy VIII.
